Summer Carson

 

Summer Carson is a 22-year-old single student who is pursuing her Associate’s Degree in Music at IBOC. She was saved in May of 2009 and is a member of the Family Baptist Church in Columbia, Tennessee where Dr. David Baker is the pastor.  Summer is involved working in her church as a primary Sunday School teacher, pianist for Children’s Choir, nursery worker, and also works in the music ministry. Her life verse is Psalm 91:2 which says, “I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in Him will I trust.”  Summer’s reason for attending IBOC is “to equip herself for any ministries God has for her in the future, and to be in His will for her life.”

Dr. Smale says of Summer, “She fits her name well: she is a bright and happy young lady who wants to serve the Lord with her life. She has an infectious smile that reflects her heart’s desire to live for God.”  Thank you Summer for being the student of the month for May 2020!
