My parents met at Hyles-Anderson College in its early days and married in 1975. I was born two weeks after their graduation in 1976. My parents were involved in church work throughout my entire childhood and teen years. They kept our family involved in the ministries of independent Baptist churches. As a four-year-old, I was saved in Sunday school at Temple Baptist Church in Lewisville, Texas. At the age of fourteen, I surrendered to serve God with my life. Upon completion of high school in 1994, I attended Hyles-Anderson College where I graduated with my Bachelor of Science degree in secondary education with a focus on math and business in 1998. My husband David Crews and I met during our freshman year at college and married on June 6, 1998, two weeks after I graduated.

We started deputation in 1999, and our young family moved to British Columbia, Canada in 2003. As the children got old enough, I homeschooled them until we moved back to Jacksonville, Florida, and they were able to attend our Christian school. I have worked for Immanuel Baptist Church of Jacksonville, Florida, since 2010 in various secretarial and teaching roles. I received my Master of Education degree in 2017.

Our children have since grown into fine Christian adults. Our oldest son Jason completed Bible college in 2024 with a Bachelor of Science degree in assistant pastoral and was married in December of 2025. Our daughter Brianna graduated in May of 2026 with her Bachelor of Science degree in music education and plans to continue her education to receive her Master of Music in 2028. Our youngest son Derek is in his second year of Bible college studying to be a preacher. While there is no guarantee of tomorrow, we are so proud of the godly heritage they have been given.

From a child, missions has been a big part of my heart. I am excited about the opportunities God has given us to be part of continuing the Great Commission by training more soul winners and helping national pastors plant churches.
