Advanced Defense of the King James Bible:
Building upon the foundational principles established in “Critiquing Bible Critics II,” this course delves into more advanced and nuanced critiques of modern Bible versions and the arguments used to justify them. We will further equip believers to defend the King James Bible (KJB) as the divinely preserved Word of God for English-speaking people in these last days.
This course addresses the escalating challenges posed by contemporary Bible critics, who employ increasingly sophisticated methods to undermine the authority and integrity of the KJB. We will explore:
- Advanced Textual Criticism: Examining the underlying Greek and Hebrew texts, tracing the lineage of various manuscripts, and exposing the flaws and biases within modern textual criticism.
- Linguistic and Translational Nuances: Analyzing specific verses and passages, highlighting the precision and accuracy of the KJB compared to other versions, and addressing alleged discrepancies.
- Philosophical and Theological Implications: Investigating the philosophical and theological assumptions that drive modern Bible versions, and demonstrating how these assumptions often conflict with fundamental biblical doctrines.
- The History of Bible Versions: A deeper look into the history of Bible translations, revealing the agendas and influences that shaped various versions, and reinforcing the unique position of the KJB.
- Equipping for Effective Dialogue: Developing strategies for engaging in respectful but firm dialogue with those who hold differing views, focusing on presenting sound biblical arguments and exposing fallacious reasoning.
- Addressing the newest arguments: Keeping up to date with the newest arguments that are being used against the KJB, and preparing the student to be able to answer those arguments.
This course is designed for those who have already completed “Critiquing Bible Critics II” or possess a strong understanding of the KJB debate. We will move beyond introductory concepts and engage in rigorous analysis and discussion. Our goal is to empower believers to stand firm in their faith, armed with a deeper understanding of the Scriptures and the tools necessary to defend them against the ever-evolving challenges of modern Bible criticism.
We will continue to emphasize that this course is not about personal attacks or slander, but about defending the integrity of God’s Word. We will approach this subject with reverence and a commitment to truth, seeking to “contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints” (Jude 1:3).
