Annette Emory

Annette Emory is a married student at IBOC who resides with her husband Tim in Longmont, Colorado. She is a member of the Hopewell Baptist Church where IBOC faculty member Bro. Corey Seulean is the pastor.  Annette works as a 4th and 5th grade Sunday School teacher there at the church. She was saved January 1st of 2000 and her life verse is Matthew 6:33, “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”.  She is studying education at IBOC and is pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Ed.

Annette states that she started out with the idea of just wanting to learn more and have a more well-rounded Bible education by getting a 1 year Bible diploma.  But since God had called her to be a Sunday School teacher, and since she loves teaching, she decided also to look into the Bachelor’s degree program.

IBOC President, Dr. Jeffrey Smale, says of Annette, “She has worked very hard for this honor and has shown us that you don’t have to be single and 18 to go to Bible College! I fully appreciate her desire to both grow in the Lord and to be used of the Lord for His service in the church. No doubt, every church could use more Annette Emory’s with a desire to do all she can as a layman in her local church!

Congratulations Annette on being named the Independent Baptist Online College student of the month for November 2020!
